README Before You Consider Pirating A Game
« on: June 09, 2011, 06:27:49 pm »
I come from a background of computing and technology so all this stuff seems to be common sense to me, But i am noticing that there are a couple clan members here that may get caught and punished for something they are completly unaware of.

1) Know your source, do not go grabbing game isos and other things from public sites found thru google, this could lead to criminal punishment and or virusses on your computer.

2) 99% Of games downloaded are for single player campaign only! Online multiplayer is a complex thing to get going and it will probably lead to something you do not want.

3) NEVER link a pirated game to your steam account. This is just a BAD IDEA. What this is going to do is get you VAC banned and many people WILL concider you as a global hacker. So just be careful out there guys.

I DO BELIEVE that everyone should be able to try before they buy, just do it smart and safe. And Feel Free to ask me anything you'd like in PM or on here.

They are tossers when they have viruses like that.

In relation to the met or any other police force asking you to pay etc, that stuff is always fake.  You wont know the police are looking at you for any kind of computer piracy, or any other offence to be honest, until the day they come knocking on your door.  They want to preserve evidence, not give you the heads up that they are onto your activities.
